There are lots of uses for Lavender Hydrosol, but these are some of our favourites!
Most commercial air fresheners contain many harmful ingredients. All-natural lavender hydrosol is an easier and more practical option, especially since it has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. Simply spritz the lavender spray in the area you’d like to freshen up, or add it to your humidifier water so that it will be evenly distributed in your home.
2. Steaming Your Clothing
Steam irons use water to produce steam and properly flatten your clothes. Distilled water is the most recommended type of water for steaming– and lavendar hydrosol is an amazing alternative if you want your clothes to be ironed beautifully. Since it is void of hard minerals, lavender linen water will keep your steam iron functioning correctly for much longer while also adding a nice, subtle smell to your clothes.
Although essential oils are the most recommended when it comes to aromatherapy, hydrosols are also effective, providing a lovely aroma to your bath. Using lavender hydrosol in particular will certainly make the most of your bathing experience, as it smells wonderful, and has a potent relaxing effect that helps relieve stress, soothe tensed muscles, and also provides a higher level of moisture to your skin than the average bath foam.
4. House Cleaning
Though efficient, bleaching agents and other such cleaning substances will leave your surfaces smelling rather clinical, bothering family members with a more sensitive sense of smell. To avoid this while maintaining that cleaning power, try using lavender hydrosol. Particularly effective for cleaning windows, pure distilled water will prevent marks and spots from showing up. Even more, it adds a lovely shine to your otherwise dull floors, sinks and countertops, freshening the smell of your home at the same time.
Some cosmetic facial toners are created using harsh chemicals including parabens, and synthetic fragrances, which may damage your skin even more. Try using lavender hydrosol instead of your typical face toner. Due to its antiseptic and anti-bacterial properties, hydrosol will keep your face cleaner over the course of the day, and will also give it a fresher, more youthful appearance. Furthermore, lavender hydrosol is an excellent way to control the redness of pimples.
6. Dog Care
It is common for dogs to get injured while playing, or while fighting with other animals. Wounds, itchy areas and scratches are unavoidable, and having the right backup to handle them will help keep your beloved pet healthy and happy. When used externally, all-natural lavender hydrosol is excellent for animal care, as it helps keep your pet’s coat clean and shiny, disinfects and heals wounds, and also washing infected areas.
Lavender hydrosol is an amazing alternative to use when washing your hair. On top of smelling lovely, let’s not forget that it also has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, which brings a substantial contribution to keeping your hair clean, shiny, and healthy.
